Leakage of company information is one of the most significant threats to modern business. Disclosure of confidential data can lead to the breakdown of contracts, loss of key counterparties, termination of contracts and, as a result, loss of profit. The issue of data protection will always be relevant, therefore, in addition to the direct protection of computer equipment, it is necessary to comprehensively study this topic.
The analysis is carried out on the basis of the following data:
-Entity: Name of the company, organization or institute
-Year: in what year did the data leak occur
-Recordings: how many records have been compromised (may include information such as email, passwords, etc.)
-Type of organization: which sector does the organization belong to
-Method: Has it been hacked?
The following analyses were carried out:
- total number of records by year
-records by entity with the possibility of choosing the year and method
-records by organization type with the possibility of choosing the year
-records by method with the possibility of choosing the year and organization type.
This dashboard is based on data from 2014-2021 and was made as part of the curriculum. It was made by Larisa Prokhorova, a student of the St. Petersburg State Technological University, Faculty of Economics and Management, direction "Business Informatics".
