Fabric Data Agent in Copilot Studio not outputting message

I am having a problem that I have connected my Copilot Studio agent to a Fabric Data Agent. I can ask a question within the chat window, and it will output a response in the MCP popout window, but not in the chat window, and I can't get it to respond in Teams or M365 after I published it either. It is answering because if I ask it to repeat, it will, so just when it calls that MCP, it doesn't send that message.

this is a known behaviour, and I have faced this in my recent engagement. 

i have been in touch with MS support teams 

 

workaround:

 

reset the test session in copilot

reconnent fabric data agent and make sure you accept thr allow mcp popup

 

Sometimes u have send same message twice to get the response in copilot 

 

 

MS suggested to publish it to Teams copilot, it works better there

Hi @AlexSimpson26 ,

Got the same issue, but in my case, it was happening due to a capacity issue. When it was fixed, the agent was working fine.
