Hey, all. I'm suddenly unable to view my notebook snapshots which I normally used to debug any abnormal runs. Clicked on the link as usual but now I see this instead...
It's even the case for older notebooks where I checked out before which I find very odd. Ask my team members and there was no change to access privileges. Has anyone experienced this? What were your options?
I have been experiencing the same issue for over a week, interestingly this only happens for one particular Notebook in one Workspace (a notebook deployed via a deployment pipeline), for other Notebooks in same Workspace I can still view the notebook snapshots. I was able to resolve by deleting the problematic notebook and redeploying (a slightly painful process - and also means you wont be able to access any historic snapshots only new snapshots). BTW the URL in the error message looked like this for me:
{
"code": "Unauthorized",
"subCode": 1,
"message": "Authentication failed for all authenticators",
"timeStamp": "2024-10-09T20:38:20.7603457Z",
"httpStatusCode": 401,
"hresult": -2147467259,
"details": [
{
"code": "RootActivityId",
"message": "a2fdeee9-eb05-40b7-aba5-aacab2d1dd65"
}
]
}
Yeah, I've tried creating a new notebook and was able to view the snapshot for that one. This happened over a call with MS support and I'm waiting for their response on the matter. Ideally, I shouldn't have to recreate my notebook just for this so I'll let them do the fixing.

Hey Yilong,
Unfortunately, the problem is not resolved yet. I am still in contact with MS support on the matter.
Thanks for the reminder, though. I will close the thread and share the solution provided when it's resolved.
Cheers.
Hello,
Is you capacity up and running while accessing the monitoring ? If the capacity is shutdown it will let to item not found issue.
Regards,
We're currently on trial capacity so safe to say that it's always on, I think.
Yes you are right, and the source notebook was not deleted and then re-created by any means ? Items have an object attached to them at creation time, you can check if the ID of the monitoring is the same as the ID of the current notebook.
