Hey everyone,
I was recently trying to create workspaces, lakehouses, and pipelines in Visual Studio code by accessing the Fabric API. So far, I could create workspaces and lakehouses, but I am having problems creating pipelines with my code.
In the Microsoft documentation, it is visible that I cannot create a pipeline without a definition, so I tried that and got this error: "The feature is not available." My other problem is that when I want to get the definition of an existing pipeline, I receive the same error.
I was wondering if anyone has been able to create pipelines with code and has succeeded.
I also tried the same methods in Postman, and in the same way, I was able to create workspaces and lakehouses, but not pipelines!
Thanks for your answers.
Hi @Vala04
Thanks for using Fabric Community.
Apologies for the issue you have been facing. Currently Fabric API does not support creating data pipelines.
I request you please share the feedback on our feedback channel . Which would be open for the user community to upvote & comment on. This allows our product teams to effectively prioritize your request against our existing feature backlog and gives insight into the potential impact of implementing the suggested feature.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any further queries.
Ok - but is there any way I can copy paste the pipeline to another workspace through the API?
Hi @Vala04
Unfortunately, copying and pasting a Data Pipeline directly from one Fabric workspace to another using Fabric APIs is not natively supported.
