Hi wardy912,
Thank you for sharing the Diagnostic ID and reporting the issue.
We have received several community reports today regarding Spark sessions failing with the error private-link-check-failed, which is impacting both interactive notebooks and scheduled runs.
Here are a few steps you can take while we investigate further:
If your tenant has Tenant-level Private Link with public internet access blocked, please ensure you are connected to an approved network or VPN. If policy permits, you may briefly test from a non-private connection to help determine if the issue is related to Private Link.
Perform a DNS check for Private Endpoints: On an affected machine, verify that Fabric endpoints resolve to private IP addresses. The most common cause of Private Link failures is incorrect DNS records, please confirm that your Azure Private DNS zones linked to the VNet have the appropriate records and that Private Endpoints are in an Approved or Succeeded state.
Consider browser or proxy configurations: Notebooks use WebSockets, so proxies blocking WS/WSS or enforcing DNS-over-HTTPS can disrupt Private Endpoint resolution. If your organization uses DoH, try disabling it temporarily or allowlisting Fabric domains.
Review Private Endpoint objects in the Azure Portal: Ensure the connection state is Approved, the NIC is attached, and DNS zone links are healthy. If any objects appear outdated, please re-approve or redeploy as needed.
