Tables missing from lakehouse schema shortcut

  • Create any warehouse schema, add tables+data, wait
  • Schema and a subset of tables are visible in OneLake but 50% of tables are missing

  • Tables also fail to propagate to Lakehouse shortcuts

  • Dropping and re-syncing the schema results in a different subset of missing tables

Desired outcome

Expose an entire warehouse schema in a lakehouse using a schema shortcut.

All tables from the source warehouse schema must be reflected in the destination schema immediately and be queryable via the lakehouse SQL analytics endpoint.

Hi @sreekarg,

Thank you for your patience and for trying the suggested steps. Since the issue persists, please consider the following:

  • In one Lake explorer, navigate to the Warehouse storage location and confirm whether the missing tables are present. If they are absent from one lake, this might indicate a sync issue from the Warehouse side.
  • Try deleting the schema shortcut in the Lakehouse, then re-adding it to force a full refresh.
  • Some preview features may have region-specific limitations. Also, check the Monitor Hub in Fabric for any errors related to schema sync failures.

I trust this information proves useful. If it does, kindly Accept it as a solution and give it a 'Kudos' to help others locate it easily.
Thank you.

Thanks @v-ssriganesh for your response. I have tried all the 4 options you have suggested still no luck. I am not able to see all the tables in the shortcut. not sure what the issue is.

Hi @sreekarg,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric community forum.

We understand that you are having trouble with certain tables from your Warehouse Schema not appearing in the Lakehouse Schema Shortcut, and that these tables change every time you resync. To troubleshoot this, follow the below steps:

  • Some tables may take longer to sync. Try waiting a few minutes and manually refreshing the schema in the Lakehouse.
  • Verify that OneLake Explorer displays the absent tables. Try refreshing your Lakehouse if not.
  • To access every table in the source Warehouse model, make sure you have the required permissions.
  • Tables with special characters, certain data types, or schema constraints might not sync correctly.

If this helps, then please Accept it as a solution and dropping a "Kudos" so other members can find it more easily.
Thank you.
