Refresh without gateway through lakehouse and billing
I want to know if I already have a PPU licence of powerbi, if my database is on gcp, do i need fabric licence or anything to use lakehouse.
What i am trying to do is auto-refresh reports without gateway or even when the computer is shut down.
So i am creating a dataflow to connect reports with cloud database through lakehouse but i dont want to store data on onelake. How do I do that?
Do I need extra licensing?

Hi SPTR you won't be able to use Fabric artifacts like Lakehouses if you just have a PPU licence and that is assigned to a workspace. You'll need a Fabric capacity, e.g. current Power BI Premium capacity, or an Azure F SKU capacity which can be paused/resumed).
Can you give more details about your scenario? If you just want to connect to a database service in GCP then you could just do that via normal Power BI Dataflows, the data is then stored in a hidden azure data lake (not onelake). You can then build your dataset/reports from, that dataflow and then schedule the refreshes.
