Outbound connection from Fabric Notebooks

Hi everyone,

We are trying to call an API from within a Fabric Notebook. We are getting javascript and cookies error (encoded html). We are tying to access an API behind an Applicaiton Gateway. However, with this error, the request is not reaching the Application Gateway. The public IP of Application Gatweay is tied with cloudflair.

I cannot find any document pointing to how the outbound connection works in Fabric.

Please let me know if anyone has any idea of what's wrong.

Could you please tell me the API you are using? By the way, the Power BI just support on-premise data gateway.

We are trying to access a custom API hosted on Function App. We are able to access it with postman.

Also, regarding on-premises data gateway, can you please clarify how would it affect outbound API calls. Isn't On-Premises Data Gateway used for pulling data into power BI and onelake using connection?
