Notebook - locale.setlocale to other languages

Hey,

are there any ways to set locale to other languages than en-US during notebook session?
For example I want to create a new time dimension and all names for days, months etc are in english but I want german.

I think currently only en-US is supported?

    Hi tkiwi ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community.

Currently, Microsoft Fabric notebooks only support the en-US locale at the system level, so changing the notebook’s system locale to German (or other languages) isn’t possible right now.

However, you can achieve German date/time formatting by using Python libraries like babel, which provide localized month and day names without relying on system locales. For example, with babel, you can format dates in German directly within your notebook regardless of the underlying locale support.

I hope this will resolve your issue, if you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out.
