Notebook Error com.fasterxml.jackson.databind.exc.MismatchedInputException: No content to map due to

com.fasterxml.jackson.databind.exc.MismatchedInputException: No content to map due to end-of-input at [Source: (String)""; line: 1, column: 0]

This error has started popping since yesterday when I try to reach a csv placed in lakehouse.

CSV is the same with no change, tried with other files too, this error keeps coming up intermittently.

In next cells, it fails completely, is this something related to Cluster session or due to any recent rollout?

Kindly help.

Hello @shasingh

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Fabric community!

As of now  there are no known ongoing issues or recent rollouts affecting CSV access in Microsoft Fabric Lakehouseat this time.  Verify the below link:

The error message "com.fasterxml.jackson.databind.exc.MismatchedInputException: No content to map due to end-of-input" typically occurs when the Jackson library expects a JSON input for deserialization but encounters an empty string or null value instead.

  • Could you please try remove the file once and the load the data in the below format.

In the context of a notebook, this issue may arise if:

  • The expected data is not being passed correctly.
  • There is an issue with the input data format.

Since you have mentioned that the CSV file has not changed and other files exhibit the same behavior, this could be related to the session state or an intermittent connectivity issue. Restarting the session and verifying file accessibility may help resolve the issue.

If the issue persists, it may be helpful to open a support ticket with Microsoft Fabric for further investigation.

Hello @shasingh

could you check if file is not empty

@nilendraFabric As mentioned in the question, all checks have been made.

I would expect someone from Fabric team should check if there is some known issue going on.
