Library Management - installing libraries takes forever/does not work

I have been trying to install libraries into my workspace today. First I tried just a single package (geopandas, from conda) but I cancelled that after about 20 minutes. Then I tried installing all my needed dependencies (25 libs) using a conda .env file. That has now been in progress for 30 minutes. 

Is this working fine in the Preview? How long should I continue waiting?

I tried with just one package, this time from PyPi, and it seems to have worked. Using an .env file which loads from conda was still in progress after two hours wait and I cancelled it.
