Invalid Directory Name - while doing Git Integration

Hi all,

I am getting below error while connecting a Git branch to my workspace. Did anyone face this issue in MS Fabric?

Invalid Directory Name

There's something wrong with the Git directory name. Go to documentation to learn more about supported directory names. Learn more

  • Hi Anonymous  ,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

Its Possible the error you are experiecning is because of these points:

    - If your workspace contains template apps, it can't be connected to Git.

    - MyWorkspace can't connect to a Git provider.
    - Sovereign clouds aren't supported.
    - If the item’s display name has any of these characteristics:

          Has more than 256 characters

          Ends with a . or a space

Please check and update the name and then try to integrate Git.

I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.
    Thank you
