FnO-812: Need to enable additional indexes in your Finance and Operations environment.

Hi,

I am connecting my FnO enviornment with Synapse link.
But when I add tables to the synapse link, then I get error "FnO-812: Need to enable additional indexes in your Finance and Operations environment." I have tried solving the error by referring "Solved: Re: FnO-812: Need to enable additional - Microsoft Fabric Community" but I have no such menu items or the url endpoint as mentioned in the post. I am attaching my PU versions below

I have also checked feature management but their is no such feature that may be related to this.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @KARANAGARWAL,

The error FnO-812: Need to enable additional indexes in your Finance and Operations environment is triggered because Synapse Link relies on specific secondary indexes for certain tables to efficiently replicate and query data.

Based on the information you provided, your environment is running on 10.0.44 (10.0.2263.124) / PU68 (7.0.7606.144). In this version, the option to enable additional indexes is not available in Feature management or the standard UI. This explains why you may not see the menu items or endpoints referenced in some community posts, as those instructions pertain to newer PU versions or environments where the feature is already deployed.

To move forward, please consider the following steps:

Review Synapse Link configuration -- Navigate to System administration > Workspaces > Data management > Synapse Link configuration. If the option is accessible, you should find settings for enabling analytical workspaces or additional indexes.

Verify table eligibility -- Synapse Link supports only specific FnO tables. Unsupported tables will continue to fail until the necessary indexes are enabled.

Thank you.

If everything is enabled that is required it does take a while for this activity to complete.

Hi @v-sgandrathi
Could you please tell me the version where this feature will be available, I will update the PU and then try it.
Also The option you gave is not accessible in the environment.

Hi @KARANAGARWAL,

Thank you for sharing the version information. Since your environment is currently on Product version 10.0.44 / PU68, the option to enable additional indexes is not yet supported. This feature was introduced with Platform update 71 (PU71) and later, which is why the related menu items or endpoints are not visible in your setup.

To address the FnO-812 error, please update your environment to at least PU71. Once updated, you will find the “Enable additional indexes” option under:
System administration > Workspaces > Data management > Synapse Link configuration.

Thank you.

Hi @KARANAGARWAL,

Following up to check whether you got a chance to review the suggestions given. If the issue still persists please let us know. Glad to help.

Thank you.
