Fabric Retention Period for Cached files
The retention period for cached files can be set from 1-28 days. Each time the file is accessed, the retention period is reset. If the file in remote storage provider is more recent than the file in the cache, the request is served from remote storage provider and the updated file will then be stored in cache.
Is there still the default retention period of 24-hour, if we do not set it?
Hi tan_thiamhuat,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Forum Community.
Yes, in Microsoft Fabric, enabling shortcut caching sets the cache retention period to 1day (24 hours) by default. Users can choose a value between 1 and 28 days, with “1 day” pre-selected.
