Dataverse environment does not appear to be configured for use with Fabric

Hello Fabric community,

 

We are currently attemping to create a shortcut from a Fabric lakehouse to a Dataverse table and we are seeing the error message below.

To clarify, I have the following:
- Admin rights in a Fabric workspace with Fabric capacity

- Systems administrator in Dataverse

What could be the issue here?

Hi @jamieliu,

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

Going through your scrrenshot I think the dialog box is stating that the Dataverse environment you are pointing to (CDS2) isn’t configured for use with Fabric. Please go through the setup steps in the doc linked in the error message or I will attach it below.
Link your Dataverse environment to Microsoft Fabric and unlock deep insights - Power Apps | Microsof...
After you complete those steps, try creating the shortcut again.

 

If I misunderstand your needs or you still have problems on it, please feel free to let us know.
