Hi community
I am having issues installing the latest version of OneLake file explorer for windows (version 1.0.14.0 published 02-09-2025 in this site: Download Microsoft OneLake file explorer for Windows from Official Microsoft Download Center). I have one computer with version 1.0.13.0 that I wanted to update but I get the error “cannot open app package” – Reason: “Error in parsing the app package” (se dump below). I have been able to install the update on another computer I have but I cannot figure out why I get this error on the other.
Has anyone else seen this error and if so can you help?
Friendly Regards
Kim

Hello @KimTutein,
The error usually happens when the old version isn’t fully removed or the OS/App Installer isn’t aligned.
👉 Try this:
Uninstall the old OneLake File Explorer 1.0.13.0 from Apps & Features.
Re-download the installer for version 1.0.14.0 from the official Microsoft Download Center.
Verify your OS — OneLake File Explorer is only supported and validated on Windows 10 (21H2 or later) and Windows 11. Make sure your system is fully updated.
And it will work normally !

Hi @AntoineW
Thank you for your answer. I have found I am not even able to uninstall the old version. As I have found several other "strange" things with this pc it will be reinstalled.
