Hello
I am trying to follow an exercise in the DP-700 training using a trial Fabric license. The exercise in the first in the training - "create and use a DataFlow Gen2 in Microsoft Fabric".
I have created a workspace, a lakehouse, a dataflow and a custom column as per the exercise without any problems. I have now come to the "add data destination for Dataflow" section and the option to "add data destination" is greyed out.
I have deleted everything and started again from scratch a few times to check settings but cannot get to a point where the "add data destination" option is not greyed out.
I'd assumed that I would have this available in a trial license as I am following instruction in a Microsoft Learning Path?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

What Nielsvdc said is probably the problem. You can also try the default data destination button button in the ribbon next to the manage connections button. Although this sets up the destination for al the queries in the dataflow gen2

Thanks - yes, shortly after raising the query I did click on the default destination option and clicked 'remove'. This immediately un-greyed out the 'add data destination' option.
Hi @firehose74, you probably have to select the query first in the query pane. After that the Add data destination button should be enabled.
Hope this helps. If so, please give kudos 👍 and mark as Accepted Solution ✔️ to help others.
Thank you - actually, shortly after raising the query I resolved it by clicking on the 'default Destination' option and then clicking 'remove'. This immediately un-greyed the "add data destination" option.
I've logged back onto Fabric to see if I can highlight the query but I think it must already have been highlighted - it is the only query I've created and I could see the table data in the pane to the right of the query pane?
