Activator Alert on Lakehouse Query
Hello Everyone,
Is it possible to create alert on Fabric Lakehouse SQL query using Activator, as we do for KQL Queryset and Warehouse query?
If not possible , any suggestions on how can we achieve this feature" send alert on Fabric Lakehouse SQL query"

Currently it is not possible to create alter on using Fabric Lakehouse Query(SQL Enpoint). In future it might be suppoerted by fabric.
Workaround:
Create a Data Pipeline or Notebook that intermittently runs the Lakehouse SQL query, evaluates the result, and triggers a notification (e.g., via Power Automate, Logic Apps, Teams, or Email) when the alert condition is met.

Hi Srisakthi ,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community and thanks to Murtaza_Ghafoor for providing meaningful insights.Based on the current Microsoft Fabric documentation, Fabric Activator supports creating alerts from sources such as KQL Querysets and Warehouse SQL queries. However, I could not find any Microsoft documentation that lists the Lakehouse SQL Analytics Endpoint as a supported event source for Activator alerts.
The Lakehouse documentation explains that the SQL Analytics Endpoint provides a read-only T-SQL experience for querying Delta tables stored in the Lakehouse, but it does not mention integration with Activator for alert generation. Therefore, based on the documented capabilities available today, creating Activator alerts directly from Lakehouse SQL queries does not appear to be supported.
For Reference:
- What is Fabric Activator? - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
- What is a lakehouse in Microsoft Fabric?
I hope this clarifies the current behavior and helps explain the difference between supported query sources and Lakehouse SQL endpoints.
