to show the next 4 month properly

I have used a date field in slicer to show the next 4 months. But for this month it it taking the value from today only. not this month.

For Example:

asdf1608_0-1681915119694.png

Here the start date is from 19/4/2023 not the start of this month.

The expected result is if next 4 months then from beginning of this month to the end of july.

How do I get this next 4 months properly in Power BI.

This is possible in tableau. For the next four month it shows this result

asdf1608_1-1681915309144.png

But this is not coming in power BI.

How do I achieve this in Power BI.

Help in this is needed. Thanks in advance

Hello,

Maybe not what you were looking for, but you could choose between instead of relative date for your slicer so users could enter 4/1/2023 to 7/31/2023 manually.

Power BI and Tableau have just taken two different approaches to the "next X months" selector; neither is necessarily wrong imo.

@Wilson_ Thank you for your response.

But If I choose between it becomes manual change, which we have to change manually each and every time. But for relative date it is automatic.

I need this to be automatic and show for next 4 months starting from this month

Understandable. However, if you wanted it to be automatic, you would have to do that with DAX instead of the date slicer because that's just not how the relative date slicer works unfortunately.

Check out this comment in a different post. I found it by googling "relative date slicer power bi this month and next month".
