How we can write DAX to get Index coloumn in calculate table without using Generate series and Rank Functions? can any one help me
Hi @Anonymous ,
If you have less data, you can customize and manually enter Index
In Power query, select Add Column – Column From Examples – From All Columns.
Result:
After research, only Generate series and Rank Functions are used to create index functions, but no others are found. Can you tell me why these two functions are not used?

Hi @Anonymous
As @amitchandak mentioned, you can use PQ, that is the best and easiest way.
But if you need DAX, can you share more details re your request? Do you want a single column table with numbers for instance from 1 to 100?
Appreciate your Kudos!!
