Hi,
I'm looking to do the following. I want to create a new table with 4 columns. the values will be coming from the existing table. the existing table have the following columns id, a1, a_code, a_fail, a_dt, a_qty, b_code, b_fail, b_dt, b_qty. i need to combined the values of a* and b* into one table.
The result should be like this sample:
Note: 001 records are coming from a* data while 002 records is coming from b*
ID | code | fail | dt | qty |
001 | 001 | bloated | 1/1/2020 | 1 |
002 | 002 | restart | 5/5/2020 | 1 |
Thank you.

Try this:
Table =
UNION (
SELECTCOLUMNS (
Products,
"Column 1", Products[Color],
"Column 2", Products[Brand],
"Column 3", Products[Category]
),
SELECTCOLUMNS (
Customer,
"Column 1", Customer[Gender],
"Column 2", Customer[Continent],
"Column 3", Customer[Education]
)
)
@JWick1969 In that case you can try:
Table =
FILTER (
UNION (
SELECTCOLUMNS (
Products,
"Column 1", Products[Color],
"Column 2", Products[Brand],
"Column 3", Products[Category]
),
SELECTCOLUMNS (
Customer,
"Column 1", Customer[Gender],
"Column 2", Customer[Continent],
"Column 3", Customer[Education]
)
),
NOT (
ISBLANK ( [Column 1] )
|| ISBLANK ( [Column 2] )
|| ISBLANK ( [Column 3] )
)
)
@JWick1969 - Seems possible, but without sample source data it's hard to tell you what exactly the transformation might be.

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
Try this:
Table =
UNION (
SELECTCOLUMNS (
Products,
"Column 1", Products[Color],
"Column 2", Products[Brand],
"Column 3", Products[Category]
),
SELECTCOLUMNS (
Customer,
"Column 1", Customer[Gender],
"Column 2", Customer[Continent],
"Column 3", Customer[Education]
)
)
Thank you very much!
Thanks a lot 😀. This is what i'm looking for. By the way, How can i added only those column with values . i will not include all those empty columns.
@JWick1969 In that case you can try:
Table =
FILTER (
UNION (
SELECTCOLUMNS (
Products,
"Column 1", Products[Color],
"Column 2", Products[Brand],
"Column 3", Products[Category]
),
SELECTCOLUMNS (
Customer,
"Column 1", Customer[Gender],
"Column 2", Customer[Continent],
"Column 3", Customer[Education]
)
),
NOT (
ISBLANK ( [Column 1] )
|| ISBLANK ( [Column 2] )
|| ISBLANK ( [Column 3] )
)
)
