Variance in consecutive rows for dates

Dear All,

 

Hope you all are keeing well.

I am new to PowerBI and facing one problem at the moment. It'd be really great help if you can help/ guide on this.

I want to compare two dates and find the difference in days for consecutive rows. I am getting wrong results.

The tables below shows the data. Variance for the first row shall be zero and going forward is shall be calulated for every row comparing previous row. If you see the difference between the variance from row 2 values is correct but the first row is getting compared to something else.

 

The data is sorted with REF Date. Both REF Date and Start date come from different tables.
