Unable to sort legend in line chart using disconnected table

Hi Community,

In the attached pbix file, Im facing 2- problems mentioned in the respective pages.

In Problem-2 : Im trying to sort the legends using disconencted table but its not sorting as per my Dim Channel table - sort order column. [ Organic line on Top, then Search in middle & Display in bottom ]

Thanks in advance!

Hi ,

Its the same as the original file. No change. The Green line (Organic) should be on Top then Search & display. Refer my above screenshot please.

Thanks!

Hi @SUMESHKUMAR22 ,

We may, apply the column sort, remove the channel from the legends, and reapply the channel to legend again, this will update the order for your legends. Hope it help!
If this solved your problem, please accept it as a solution!! ^_^

Hi @Hakuna_matata ,

The file is already following that technique but the sort is not happening in line chart 😞
Im expecting the output of line chart like below, where the Organic channel on Top, then search & display.

Hi,

I am not sure if I understood your question correctly, but please try to use Channel from Dim_Channels table.

Please check the below picture and the attached pbix file.

Hi @Jihwan_Kim ,

Sill it wont work. Expected output should be like below (Organic line on top, then search then Display), it should follow sort order, but this happens when I use stack area chart (which I dont want to use otherwsie my avg line will get removed).

Expected:

  • Hello the order of line is dependent on data values, as Jihwan suggested we can use ascending or descending order. For legends try removing the legend from visual and re-add legend channel. Hope it helps!

@Hakuna_matata ,

Thanks for Checking in. The issue still persists after removing the legends. If you could look into the file, its performing the same approach but unable to sort by legends (nor asc/desc).

Thanks!
