Troubleshooting visuals that take too long to load?

I have a .pbix, and I have a visual that has a matrix with over 10 measures, sometimes it takes 5 minutes to load and sometimes it never loads.

Is there a way to exactly pinpoint which measure and/or dax code is causing the visual not to load?

Hello @Anonymous ,

you can start by showing us a picture of your Data model with the relationship. Then show us the Dax code for each measures used in your Matrix (We also need the dependant measures).

Also, give us an idea of how many rows are we dealing with in your different tables used

As well you can use Dax Studio to look at performance of Formula and Storage engines and isolate where the issue is comming from - there is also an "other" category for the wait for other visuals - Marco Russo shows in detail how this works here: https://www.sqlbi.com/tv/optimizing-the-distribution-of-distance-between-transactions-unplugged-21/
