Slicer doesn't affect a table

I have a table which consists of Market, Spend this year and spend previous year, 
I have a slicer month and slicer for the year 
my data update for 2023 was on June, i have no filters, no other slisers, the links are okay 
but 
when i select 2023 and July, for instance, the table values in the Spend last year column is not changing (which I dont understand  since i have data for July 2022), nothing changes 

i decided to test the Spend previous year column and put it into blank page 
with market and with slicer, but the values stuck on the values of the June 2023, when i select previous months it is okay it is changing 
it is not working for the "future" months

the formula i used to calculate the previous month is 

FinSpendSumPY =

CALCULATE(

    [FinSpendSum],

    SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR('AZ_Calendar_Lookup'[Date])

)

Hi @Anonymous ,

Here I create a sample on myside and it works. Data is from 2022 to 2023 June.

Please make sure your Calendar table has continuous date and is related to your fact data table.
