Show days ahead of selected value

Hi All, 

I need to find 14 days after a selected date for a particular visual. For example, if i select 15/05/2019, i want the data to show 14 days from 15/05/2019 on a chart.

Because the rest of the report needs to be filtered using a common date slicer, i can't create a disconnected date table and add in another date slicer. 

Is there another way i can achieve the same thing?

Use the "After Slicer" and create a measure that will only return non-blank values for 14 days after the selected day in the slicer. If you do that, then your x-axis will only show dates after the selected date and not more than 14 days into the future (from the selected date, of course) since other days will have BLANK values of the measure(s) and BLANKS are always hidden.

Well, if your slicer is connected to the table from which you're taking dates for your visual, then when you're selecting a date from the slicer you are also filtering the visual. This is why you will see only the date period selected in the slicer on our axis. What you could do is to have 2 slicers (one would be hidden). But you'd need to create another disconnected table for one of them, so that your selection does not filter anything. Once you've got it, you would be able to drop the dimension on the visual and create a measure that would respect the selection in the slicer but only give you non-blanks for the period you want.

I think there's also the possibility to create a slicer from a dimension and disconnect the slicer from a visual. But have not tried this option yet...
