Hi All,
I'm looking for a solution to a problem I'm not 100% clear on (I know that isn't ideal).
I'm working with a company to transition reporting from Excel to Power BI and today I recieved a question from an Exectutive that I don't know the answer too.
The question give to me was: "Does Power BI have a way to share a calculated KPI with other users so that they can use the KPI, while also preventing them from changing the calculation used in the KPI".
The company plans on defining several custom KPI's, most of which I presume will be brought in with the datasource, however this question assume the KPI isn't available to the dashboard developer.
Please let me know if there is anything I can clarify to help in finding an answer.
Usually this involves a shared dataset with curated measures. You can include that dataset in your data model, and you can use the measures, but you cannot modify them.
