Report Level Measures SSAS Cube Live Connection

I found this previous Forum Post which suggest we should be able to make Report Level Measures to SSAS tabular model. Are we able to do this with the Cube? When I create a live connection to a SSAS Cube It looks like i'm not able to make a measure. Is this a permissions issue or is it not compatible with the Cube?
