Question about WEEKNUM

I'm using 

WEEKNUM(TODAY(),1)-1
to obtain the week number of the previous week, but if today was the first week of the year would this formula return a 0? or will it return 52?

Would this work.

WEEKNUM(TODAY()-7,1)

Because you will get 0 when it is week 1.
