Problem multiplying measure by column

Hello All   I have a measure which creates a monthly cumulative value that spreads across 12 months. I now need to create a new measure which calculates a percentage from each of the monthly cumula...

Hello Userpath77,

 

Can you please try this:

 

  1. Define the Cumulative Measure (CumulativeMeasure)
  2. Define the Monthly Percentage Column (MonthlyPercentage)
  3. Create a New Measure for the Percentage Calculation
PercentageOfCumulative = 
SUMX(
    'YourTable',
    [CumulativeMeasure] * [MonthlyPercentage]
)

SUMX iterates over each row, multiplying the CumulativeMeasure by the MonthlyPercentage for that row, and then sums these results.

    Thanks Sahir---I have a list of %'s that would need calculated for each month by the cumulative measure. Example, If year is 2024 and month is October, multiply cumulative measure by 10%. If year is 2023 and month is November, multiply cumulative measure by 20%. What is the best way to approach this?
