This is driving me crazy!
I have the folowing measure:
Assessment_Grading_Ready =
VAR _Table =
ADDCOLUMNS(
FILTER(
Historic_Script_Type,
Historic_Script_Type[Current] = "Yes"
),
"Marks_Pct",
[Grading_Comp_Complete_%]
)
VAR _Total_Comps =
COUNTROWS(_Table)
VAR _Ready =
CALCULATE(
COUNTROWS(_Table),
FILTER(
_Table,
[Marks_Pct] >= 0.95
)
)
VAR _Syll_Check =
_Total_Comps - _Ready
RETURN
IF(
_Syll_Check = 0,
"Yes",
"No"
)
I am trying to apply the above to a table that has two columns: "Historic_Script_Type[Ass_Code]" and "Event_Dates[grading]".
The result of the two above is simply a match of the ass_Code and the grading date.
But when I add the measure, all of a sudden the rows multiply themselves and all the grading dates match against all the ass_Codes with the expceted outcome against all of them.
BUT! If I only return just the outcome of _syll_check from in the measure, it just gives me the expected number without mutliplying the rows! WHY?!
@RyanHare92 Because you are always returning a value, Yes or No so basically every combination will return some value and thus be shown in the visual. With your revision, some combinations return BLANK and thus are automatically excluded from the visual. You *might* be able to fix this by using an == instead of an =. That should force it to match only on a zero and not on both a zero and a blank.
