Hi experts
I have a table with 2 columns - Year, and Sales per year.I wish to create a measure that will calculate the percentage of change in sales between the years:(Sales of each year, minus sales of the previous year) divided by the Sales of the previous year.
Help anyone?
Perhaps:
Measure =
VAR __Year = MAX('Table'[Year])
VAR __PreviousYear = __Year - 1
VAR __Sales = MAXX(FILTER('Table','Table'[Year] = __Year),'Table'[Sales])
VAR __PreviousSales = MAXX(FILTER('Table','Table'[Year] = __PreviousYear),'Table'[Sales])
RETURN
DIVIDE((__Sales - __PreviousSales),__PreviousSales,0)
Thanks for your prompt reply Greg.
I forgot to mention that I am new to DAX, so can you please explain - is this one measure, or each line is a different measure?
That is all just a single measure.
Thank you Greg. I will try it.
