Hey, looking to format data from MySQL. Colume comes in as a 10dig number and I need to run this formula against it =A1/86400+DATE(1970,1,1) ** This is an excel forumal** (In excel) After the conversation I can format the cell for Date /14/12 1:30 PM. I need to import this data from MySQL and at the transfomation on the data I need to get the same result as I put earlier.
I get what you're trying to do. I'm asking what's happening when you try it in Power Query (once you've connected to your MySql data source) and used Add Custom Column with your formula.
You've basically provided the answer yourself. Where are you having a problem?
The long term goal is to have the data exported from MySQL and for it just to refresh and update dashboards/reports. The above excel formula is found to convert the data I tested by just opening excel and copy and paste only one value into excel to test the formula and while it did work the option of daily exporting data and then running the formula then uploading the data into power BI is not a long term solutions. I would like to be able to link the data source to MySQL and some how set up Power BI to run the formula so it converts the data in Power BI to be able to make it a long term solution.
