How to stop power bi automate create date hierarchy?

Dear all,

Can you please advise how can i stop power BI automate change my date to date hierarchy?

My date in power query view:

But it change to date hierachy automatically when i want to add it into a table.

1. Disable Auto Date/Time in Power BI Desktop:

   • Open your Power BI Desktop file.
   • Go to "File" > "Options and settings" > "Options."
   • In the Options window, go to the "Data Load" category.
   • Uncheck the box for "Auto date/time."

   This will disable the automatic creation of date hierarchies when loading data into Power BI Desktop.

2. Manage Date Column Manually:

   • Instead of letting Power BI automatically create date hierarchies, you can manage the date column manually.
   • In your data model, locate the date column you want to use as a date hierarchy.
   • Right-click on the date column and choose the appropriate date hierarchy option, such as "New hierarchy" or "Hierarchy."

3. Remove Existing Date Hierarchies:

   • If date hierarchies have already been created, you can remove them.
   • In the Fields pane, find the existing date hierarchy.
   • Right-click on the hierarchy and choose "Delete" or simply drag it out of the hierarchy section.

4. Use the Data Model View:

   • In Power BI Desktop, you can use the "Data" view to manage your data model.
   • Click on the "Data" view icon on the left side of the window.
   • In the data view, you can see the tables and columns in your data model. Manage the date columns and hierarchies as needed.

5. Customize Date Hierarchies in Visualizations:

   • When creating visualizations, you have control over how dates are displayed.
   • In the visualizations, you can manually choose the level of granularity for date fields, adjust formatting, and customize the date hierarchy in the visual itself.

Remember that changes made in Power BI Desktop will need to be saved, and you may need to refresh your data in the Power BI service if you are publishing your report online.

Keep in mind that preventing automatic creation of date hierarchies may affect certain features like time intelligence functions, so be sure to manage your date columns and hierarchies appropriately for your analysis needs.
