How to resolve data type error

Hi, please take a look at the attached screenshots, in particular the first screenshot displaying the DAX code; the error message is right at the bottom of this first screenshot.   How would I resolve this?

I've tried a bunch of different things to clean up my source data, but it hasn't fixed things

Change the cost per day column to be one of the numeric formats, not text.

I resolved this, thank-you.

It appears PowerBI was trying to convert the other columns from text to number.

I fixed those other columns in the source.  It wasn't the cost-per-day column

thank-you

Hi, I already made that cost-per-day column into number format in the source data, which is an online Excel file stored in a company microsoft Sharepoint folder.  For some reason, in PowerBI, at least in this following screen, PBI still sees it as TEXT data type (& it won't let me convert it number format):

Here's the source data (the Sharepoint folder Excel, you'll see I already made the cost-per-day column into a number format):

ok, it appears there's no way for me to attach an Excel spreadsheet here, but trust me, I made the cost-per-day column into a number format in the original Excel spreadsheet.

Please help me understand how I  can force PowerBI to make this cost-per-day column a decimal number data type; as you can see in my screenshot it won't let me do this.  If I rebuild my data model and re connect a link to this Sharepoint Excel, will that help?  Or is there a quicker way to resolve this?
