How to create a measure for Quarter Over Quarter Calculation for Non Calendar FY and FQ?

Hello,

The QoQ example given is for unconventional QoQ dates.  I'm not sure how to calculate Amount differences and Percentages in Power BI for QoQ, because the dates in Power BI are created for Calendar Years.  I don't have time intelligence dates just the FY and FQ and total sums.

Appreciate any help with this.

@Jamming_Mon , As long your year start from any of these months you can use datesqtd or totalqtd (Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct. If not refer to my blog. You should Qtr Start Date: Creating Financial Calendar - From Any Month
https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Creating-Financial-Calendar-Decoding-Date-and-Calend...

You need these column in you date table

Qtr Start Date = DATEADD(STARTOFYEAR('Date'[Date],"4/30"),QUOTIENT(DATEDIFF('Date'[Start Of Year], 'Date'[Date],MONTH),3)*3,MONTH) // 4/30 is end date of year, choose on of your choice
Qtr Day = DATEDIFF('Date'[Qtr Start Date],'Date'[Date],Day)+1
Qtr Rank = RANKX(all('Date'),'Date'[Qtr Start date],,ASC,Dense)

Following are the measure examples
This Qtr = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]), FILTER(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Qtr Rank]=max('Date'[Qtr Rank])))
Last Qtr = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]), FILTER(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Qtr Rank]=max('Date'[Qtr Rank])-1))

This QTD = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]), FILTER(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Qtr Rank]=max('Date'[Qtr Rank]) && [Qtr Day] <=max([Qtr Day])))
Last QTD = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]), FILTER(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Qtr Rank]=max('Date'[Qtr Rank])-1 && [Qtr Day] <=max([Qtr Day])))

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :radacad sqlbi My Video Series Appreciate your Kudos.
