How growth rate by date

I have data set with work items and update date, if create vizualization then graph display comultative values (not for items was created per day). Correct rate is count of totay - count of day-1

@Anonymous ,The information you have provided is not making the problem clear to me. Can you please explain with an example.

But this how be do cumulative with a date table

Cumm Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),filter(date,date[date] <=maxx(date,date[date])))
Cumm Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),filter(date,date[date] <=max(Sales[Sales Date])))

Can you share sample data and sample output in table format?
Appreciate your Kudos.
