How can I make make second slicer to be select date automatically based on another slicer?

Good day

I have commecencement _year Slicer and I have Year_enrolled slicer.

I want that when I select 2024 on commecencement _year Slicer, 2024 must be selected automatically on Year_enrolled slicer

The problem is the two slicers do not have relationships.

I tried to create the two dax measures.

Testing1 =

SELECTEDVALUE(Students[Commencement_Year])

Testing2 =

VAR commencementYear = SELECTEDVALUE(Students[Commencement_Year])

VAR year_enrolled = SELECTEDVALUE(Learner[Year_Enrolled])

RETURN

IF(commencementYear = year_enrolled, "Selected")

But when I try to put the Testing2 on the filter pane it does not have with anything because I want the year enrolled date to be selected automatically based on the year selected on Commencement_Year slicer.

How can I achieve this, if someone could kindly please assist?

Hi,

Please check the below and the attached pbix file.

The key is to group two slicers and Synchronize those by using the group name, not by each slicer's name.
