Grouping, Binning or Analyze features are either disabled or not there.

Hi,

I am not able to access grouping, binning or analyze features in Power BI.

For example, "Grouping" option is always disabled (when I right click on the matrix with the date, for example).
Are there specific limitations to those areas of Power BI?

Thank You!

Hi @E12345 ,

The content of the document should be correct, it should be noted that as the documentation you provided mentions if you want to use the grouping feature, you need to Ctrl+Select to select multiple columns and then group them.

Refer to below:

How strange - my Group is always greyed out, even when I select the specific bars using Ctrl+Select

I just found a way to do binning and grouping - looks like the online microsoft documentation is outdated, which misled me. Instead of clicking on the visual itself and choosing "group", I should have right clicked on the column and chosen "New Group" - that takes you to binning and grouping.

For example, the link I used originally ( https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/desktop-grouping-and-binning ) suggests that I right click on the visual and choose group - that part is always greyed out for me...

But when I click on the column and choose "New Group", I get the binning window popped up.

So, the only feature left to find out about is "Analyze". I was able to see it on some visuals in my workspace, but not on the desktop...
