Getting Beginning Employee for Attrition Percentage

Hi, 

is this possible for my current dataset to get the beginning employer per month.

current dataset i have the Hiredate and separation date this is for attrition report.

End employee = (beg employee + new hires) - separations

but the problem is how to get the previous end employee to be the beg employee for the next month?
