I'm trying to filter visuals based on a custom text column in my Date table of the format "YY-PP" (ie "21-09")
I'd like to be able filter by having some visuals display data for the current period and others for the previous period without having to manually adjust slicers.
Thanks!

Hi @Blizz003 ,
Please refer to this blog: Display Last N Months & Selected Month using Single Date Dimension in Power BI – Some Random Thought....
When using one single Date Demension table, you can use just one slicer to dynamically control all needed visuals.

Icey

Hi @Blizz003
Can you post sample data as text and expected output?
Not enough information to go on;
please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly:
https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490
The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
4. Relation between your tables
Appreciate your Kudos!!
