Dynamically populate rows in a dataset based on slicer selection

Hi

I have to write a DAX code that will show  for a month number it is an actual or forcast. I tried with selected value, however its not giving the proper result. The condition is that

if the month num (from dataset ) in a row <= Month Num in slicer (coming from distict calender table), it should be actual , else forcast.

With the selected value DAX function, I was hoping that the rows will show up right, but it is not. Please help.
