Hi All,
Is there way that we can do this in Power BI, where we select a variable from a slicer similar as below and presents all the data (lines) for the different categories. See an example below for age and gender. The below examples are from dashboard created using tableau.

We have considered table as shown below,
We can use Line Chart in Power BI as shown in below screenshot with visual setting:
X-axis – Year,
Y-Axis – Sum of Proportion (%),
Legend – Age Group
Similarly, we can do it for Gender within Legend properties in Power BI.

Many thanks for your reply. I am after creating a similar slicer to allow displying different categories based on the selection. For example, if I select gender then two lines will be shown (one for female and one for males) and if I select age group then four lines should be shown for the different age grouping.
You can do that with a field parameter. Create a new parameter, add the columns you want to include as options and then add the field parameter to your visuals.
