Hello,
I'm having trouble using a date slicer in conjunction with a firstdate expression.
Start Date = firstdate ( table [date] ]
)
This gives me the results I expect in my matrix. However, I want to use a slicer from my date table to filter my matrix by year. This is not possible as it appears that any year I slice by then becomes the first date.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
@Anonymous , Try a measure like
measure =
var _min = minx(allselected(Table), table [date])
return
calculate(countrows(Table), filter(Table, Table[Start Date] =_min))
But it is better that table come from Date or different Table
measure =
var _min = minx(allselected(date), date [date])
return
calculate(countrows(Table), filter(Table, Table[Start Date] =_min))
Thanks for the reply but that did not work.
To clarify - my measure works as intended but when I try to slice using my date table all of my start years take on the value of the slicer year. I presume the slicer is filtering my table so that a new start year is shown.
I want to be able to get the min date of the table. Once I have the min date, I want to use a slicer to select only the rows that contain that min date.
