Dax Measure Help

Hi 

 

Im hoping someone can help. I have two tables linked by relationship using date. In the fact table I have an Name column and a date column, and the related table is my dates table.

 

Im looking for a measure that I can add to a matrix that will show me the no. of name in each calendar month?

 

Please let me know if I need to supply more details for anyone

@lbendlin , thanks for your concern about this case. I tried to create a sample data myself based on the user's requirement and implemented the result. Please check if there is anything that can be improved. Here is my solution: 

 

1. According to your description, I created two tables and created a relationship between them.

2. Create a measure to get the count of each month name.

Count of Names by Month =
CALCULATE(COUNT('financials'[Month Name]),'financials')
