Hello everyone. Thanks in advance for your help.
I have a table with PeriodFrom (the start of the week, or first day of month) and PeriodTo (the end of the week, or last day of the month) dates for each month. The data type is Date/Time. I want to be able to get monthly totals and display them as such. However, it only shows me week values. I have tried CALCULATE with SUMMARIZE and it gives me an error message. I tried formatting the PeriodFrom and PeriodTo to MMM-YYYY but that did not work. Any ideas?
Example: PeriodTo
1/1/2025
1/6/2025
1/13/2025
1/20/2025
1/27/2025
Example: PeriodFrom
1/5/2025
1/12/2025
1/19/2025
1/26/2025
1/31/2025
Hi @HELLOVARAS4
I would like to help but I'm a little unclear about your requirements.
Can you provide the following?
1) Please provide sample data that covers your issue or question completely.
https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-provide-sample-data-in-the-Power-BI-Forum/ba-...
2) Please show the expected outcome based on the sample data you provided.
https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/m-p/1447523
3) Please explain how you would expect to get from step 1 to 2.
4) If possible, please show your past attempts at a solution.
A .pbix file with sample data would be best.
Apologies it took long to reply. Attached is a view of the data and what I am trying to accomplish. Thanks
Hi @HELLOVARAS4
Can you produce a pbix file with ALL relevant tables and ALL relevant columns? (If not, try a xlsx with ALL relevant tables and ALL relevant columns)
For example, I'm pretty sure Table 2 and Table 3 have more columns than shown. (Also Table 1)
Please reread my above post and the supplied links.
Thanks. I hope this makes sense.
Thanks for getting back to me. I am not able to attach the pbix. We are not allowed to share it, company policy. If your not able to help me, no worries, I understand.
Hi @HELLOVARAS4
I was hoping you could use fictitious data (ie. ProductA, Customer1, etc).
If you still can't share I'm guessing there isn't much I can do.
