DAX DATESMTD SKIPS 0 Values

Hi All,

I am currently using the measure...

MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD('Sales'[Date]))

But for some reason this skips the 0 values in my table and gives the previous previous month opossed to just giving a blank if there was no sales anyone an idea why?

Many Thanks,

Taylor

Hi,

Appreciate the answer! But it works completly fine it just skips back a month if the sales person has no sales so far...

For example...

NameAmountDateSales MTD
Jon0Jan5
Jon5Dec5
Jim 4Jan4
Jim4Dec4

@Ttaylor9870 , You should used a date table marked as date table

MTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESMTD('Date'[Date]))

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :radacad sqlbi My Video Series Appreciate your Kudos.
