Creating a filter in Analyze in Excell

Hello PBI Community

Good Day!

This scenario is based on sample data

What Is trying to accomplish:

I need to create a measure/ filter that will allow me to filter out different transaction types within matrix in Analyze in Excel

Per this scernario - transaction type Timing

Background and Examples below

I created a matrix in Power BI

Here it was very easy to create a filter for my transaction type

Here are my measures

Total Sales = CALCULATE(SUM('SnR'[SnR Amount]), 'SnR'[Transaction Type] = "Sales" || 'SnR'[Transaction Type] = "Timing")
Total Revenue = CALCULATE(SUM('SnR'[SnR Amount]), 'SnR'[Transaction Type] = "Revenue" || 'SnR'[Transaction Type] = "Timing")
SnR Amount = [Total Revenue]+[Total Sales]

To created the same matrix  in Analyze in Excel

I had to create measures to get the same I created in Power BI.

If I move transaction type into my matrix here the numbers duplicate.

Hi @lbendlin ,thanks for the quick reply, I'll add to it.

Hi @PBI-Curious ,

Regarding your question, you can likewise create a slicer in Excel to filter the data with the following steps.

you are double counting "Timing"  for starters.
