Hi i'm slightly confused. My sales data starts in October however power bi automatically orders the dates from the next january. is it posible/how would i be able to make a date table starting from october to enable me to measure month on month sales.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

You can add a fiscal month column to Date table. Then sort Calendar Month column by Fiscal Month column. In this article Sorting Data by Fiscal Year in Power BI, it creates a date table whose fiscal year starts in April. You can modify it to October accordingly.
