Coverting a Visual Table into a Data Table in the same PowerBI
Hi there,
Is there a way to convert or duplicate a Table Visual to turn it into a Data Table within the same PowerBI?
I can export the Table Visual as a csv file and then do a separate analysis from there, but is there any way to do this within PowerBI where the table that is created is automatically updated when the visual table is updated? I tried creating a new table to try and use the SUMMARIZE function but the Table Visual is not selectable (because it is not a data table).
Essentially I'm wanting to do further analysis based on one of the columns within the Table Visual without having to export it.

Hi Keaganva ,
Thanks for the reply from lbendlin .
You want to display the visual as data, am I understanding that correctly?
A Power BI visual is constructed using data from underlying semantic models. If you're interested in seeing behind the scenes, Power BI shows you the data that's being used to create a visual. The ability to do this is available in Power BI Desktop and in the Power BI service and is available for almost all visual types.
You can also export the data to Excel for visuals in a report and visuals on a dashboard.

Sounds like you are looking for the drillthrough feature?

I don't think the drillthrough feature would work for my scenario. The Visual Table I created has different basic counts, sums, etc. and with some customer measure, but these have been filtered based on the measures I created - i.e. ratios or minimums. Unless the drill through could only pull the unique IDs associated with the filtered list?

It will (together with the rest of the filter context).
